The unique NFT is a tangible object which connects to a unique digital artwork accessible through an QR code printed on the back. The project is limited to five pieces and will be auctioned in the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made of carbon composite material which Lamborghini, in the course of a research project in the year 2019 and sent to the International Space Station. After it returned to Earth, carbon fiber was fashioned into this distinctive artwork. The physical piece is embossed with an NFT serial number which ties to the digital artwork by using an QR code on the back.

For those who aren't in the know, NFTs are distinct identifiers that are recorded on a distributed blockchain ledger, and linked to a digital asset such as a photo, video or any other recording. This lets owners ensure the authenticity, scarcity and trackability of their tokens over the internet.

Working with NFT PRO which is a white-label NFT solution for businesses, Lamborghini will take this unique approach to art to the next level. In the coming weeks, Lamborghini will release details about this exciting project, including the name of the unidentified artist and a timeline for the auction.

The physical element of Space Key

Following a string of social media posts that tease some kind of space-themed item, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has stepped into the realm of tokens that are not fungible (NFT) by launching an exclusive project dubbed Space Key. The project was created in collaboration with an unknown artist, the NFT is a collectible item that will be auctioned off in just a couple of weeks. It is a piece of high-tech carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in the year 2019 as part of an investigation project. The carbon fiber was 3D printed to form the basis of each Space Key, which is connected to an exclusive, entirely digital design using a QR code on the back of the key. Only five Space Keys were produced.

NFTs are unique identifiers that can be stored on distributed ledgers such the Blockchain and tied to a digital asset like images. It's a hot topic with people with more money than they have common sense. It was just a matter of time until automakers decided to take advantage of.

Space Key consists of five units. The components were built by using a piece of the carbon fiber composite that was shipped to the ISS in the year 2019. Each NFT will have an QR code that connects it to a special digital art work by the same artist. The digital artwork

After months of posts on social media that hint at it, luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has finally announced its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. Called the Space Key, it consists of five items that unlock an exclusive digital art work NFT by the unidentified artist. The collectors' piece was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to only five units. It will be auctioned off soon.

Each Space Key contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth it was stamped with an QR code that connects it to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of the five images was captured by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used a balloon with a camera to take each of the individual shots, which were then merged into the final image. The result is an image that is completely out of the world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic look of a car key lamborghini rising from the Earth. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and time of the auction haven't yet been set yet.

The auction

With the tagline 'to the moon', luxury automobile maker Lamborghini has entered the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFT) by launching a hypnotic project developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm). The Space Key is an NFT which is composed of carbon fiber that was actually transported to the International Space Station for research purposes in the year 2019. The physical sample was then shaped into five unique pieces that link to exclusive digital art work created exclusively by an artist who has not yet been revealed through the QR code.

The auctions, which be held between February 1 through February 4, will last for 75 hours and 50 minutes, the same time it took Apollo 11 to leave Earth and enter the lunar orbit. By registering online, you can bid on the five NFTs. Each one will be auctioned individually and the winner will receive a digital image designed by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner, which captures the five different moments the Space Key passed during its journey through space.
