Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This allows you to enhance your gear without having to depend on costly trades or drops. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items effectively.

Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components can make your weapons and armour better. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item upgrader mod spheres, or buying them from karma dealers. You can also salvage them from equipment that has the components or through salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from the item upgrade.

Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an item however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to boost the value of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to increase the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can also be made to offer additional benefits. A glyph that is crafted can boost the chance of upgrading its target, and a boost upgrade increases the attack or defense capabilities of a weapon.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has its own experience multiplier that affects the amount of experience an item receives when it upgrades with that component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade limit number that is available for. The number of upgrades are determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. For instance, the most expensive possible upgrade for a weapon is a tier 10 weapon. The most popular weapon upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and a armor upgrade for tier 5.

Sets
