What is Code 95?

Code 95 is a sign on your licence that you have completed the initial qualification for professional drivers (basiskwalificatie in Dutch). This training must be adhered to by all professionals with a C (truck) or a D (bus) licence.

This is also required for those who drive overseas for work. This is particularly important for those who have a category D driving licence.

Professional truck and bus drivers

A driving licence code 95 is a document that proves that the driver has the professional qualifications required for transportation. This is a requirement for both bus and truck drivers who wish to be employed in the European Union. The document also serves to ensure the safety of cargo and passengers while traveling. The driving license code 95 is valid for five years and must be renewed each year.

To get a code-95 driver's license, you must take the 35-lecture theory course. After the course is completed they must pass an examination to obtain a certificate. Those who fail the exam must take another course to get certified again. Numerous driving schools across the country offer this course.

Truck and bus drivers need to be equipped with a variety of skills and capabilities in addition to their driving skills. These include customer service, communication, and routing planning and navigation. Additionally, they need to be able to plan breaks, meals, and sleep times during trips that last more than a single day. These other skills are crucial for the success of a career as a truck or bus driver.

The code 95 driving license is a certificate of professional competence that proves that the driver has the skills to operate large trucks. The certificate is issued by the European Union and must be acquired before driving large vehicles in Europe. The certificate is compulsory for all drivers of the categories C1, D1, DE, D, and D1E.

If a trucker wants to drive in Europe then they must possess an official code 95 driving license from their home country. Regular training
