Roomba s9+ from iRobot

This robot is one of iRobot's premium models and it certainly performs well. It is able to maneuver easily across a range of different surfaces and is extremely efficient in sucking up dirt, dust, and debris. It's also well-built and looks pretty good, too.

The S9 is the latest iRobot premium S Series robot vacuum. It has a few additional features that help it distinct from other models. For example, the iRobot app uses the camera in this unit to create a map of your house that helps it navigate and clean efficiently.

It will also return to the place where it started if its battery gets depleted during cleaning, so you don't have to spend time cleaning the same spots. You can also start and stop cleaning sessions using a simple voice command or through the iRobot app. This smart vacuum will even clean in the dark!

Another great feature is Carpet Boost, which gives the S9 additional suction power when it encounters carpeting to collect even more dirt and dust. The unit also has an elongated front design that is more close to walls and corners than the older round designs. This model is not compatible well with high-pile or shag carpeting.

During our tests, we found the iRobot S9+ cleaned thoroughly and efficiently a variety floor surfaces including hard and medium-pile carpets. It also did well on vinyl, and laminate flooring. It did a good job of navigating furniture and objects, but it did have some issues with stairs, and could accidentally crash into bookcases.

The S9's capability to automatically return to its base and empty its dust bin when it's full was an excellent feature. It cut down on the requirement for manual maintenance. The dust bin should last about 30 loads, which is about one month or so and you'll need to replace the filter every once in a while (which is actually recommended by iRobot). We've found that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get loud during operation which makes it a good choice for people who live with pets or children.

Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid

Certain robot vacuum cleaners can be controlled by apps on smartphones, and others have mopping technology for kitchen and bathroom flooring. They're a great choice for busy families and are becoming more affordable. But if you want top-tech features in your robotic cleaner, you're going to be spending a little more.

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is an all-in-one vacuum and mopping machine, making it a good option for those living in a home with multiple floors. The vacuum's 0.6l bin can hold a lot of pet hair. Its dual motors provide an impressive amount of cleaning power. The dustbin can be taken away and emptied easily, which is useful because you'll need to clean it often.

It's easy to set up as well, but I do recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid before running it for the first time. Install the Eufy Home application and follow the instructions to connect it to your WiFi network. The app will assist you draw an outline of your home. You can name the rooms, divide large areas into sub-rooms to facilitate open-plan living and guide the X8 Hybrid towards specific areas that need to be cleaned at a particular time. Other robots also have similar scanning and mapping functions, but Eufy's app feels more refined and intuitive than the other.

The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can activate the vacuum cleaner or mop via voice thanks to its integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a wonderful feature that makes the robot hands-free. It was a success in our test house.

The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums has some issues with bare flooring. It can be unable to see pet hair or small objects, and is more likely to hit things, like its own charger that sits on its charging base. It's also not as quiet as other models we've tried, and the whirring noise can be distracting.

Roborock V3S pro

The robot doesn't come with the same features as some of the more expensive ones we tested, however it does cover the basics. It has a huge enough dust bin that can hold plenty of dirt before it's time to empty it, and its mop and vacuum system is great for carpets that are hard and low-pile. It is also very quiet. We were able to watch the TV while it was cleaning without feeling as though we were being constantly bombarded by the sound.

Our test participants were extremely pleased with how easy the machine was to use and set up. They also appreciated its ability to remove all the messes from their floors. It even did a pretty good job at removing pet hair and other messes that get on carpeting, though it wasn't as successful in tackling stubborn stuck-on stains. They found the app user-friendly and easy to use, and were able to program the vacuum to clean regularly to help reduce how much they had to manually do. The one downside is that it doesn't have any mapping technology or object avoidance, which means you can't direct it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips are compatible).

The V3S Pro is another model that is part of iRobot's affordable line. It has several impressive features for an affordable price. It beat out all other robotic vacuums we tested in terms of finding and avoiding obstacles and is the ideal budget option for those who want a cleaner self-emptying robotic vacuum that is able to handle pet hair and messes on both carpets with low pile and hardwood floors. It's also very quiet and comes with a massive dust bin that can hold lots of debris before it needs emptying, so you don't have to be concerned about having to empty it every time you use it.

The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choice lists of trusted sources who test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was simple to use and Wet Dry Robot Vacuum set up, but the battery life was not long.

Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is a solid entry-level robot vacuum and mop that isn't slack on features or price. You can get many of the high-end features, like smart navigation and mapping without paying top dollar. You can make use of voice commands via Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple Siri shortcuts for custom automations, and also to start your cleaning cycle when you're away.

Roborock took its time in designing this smart cleaner. The result is that the product is incredibly well-built and feels like it was built with top materials. The base is sturdy and sturdy and has an integrated charging port for the battery. On the top is the dock for the clean water tank and dirty water bins. You'll also find a panel beneath the dock that houses an enclosed vacuum bag.

In contrast to other wet dry robot vacuum vacuums that are available, the Q Revo is able to lift both mops as it vacuums to avoid staining your carpet fibres. It's one of the few vacuums that can accomplish this.

The Q Revo's suction power of 5500Pa is enough to remove pet hair and dust specks while mopping. The all-rubber brush works well to separate animal and human hair as it adapts to uneven surfaces.

Its only drawback is that it can take an extended time to fill and empty water tanks that are clean and dirty. Luckily, you can decrease the frequency of this by using the auto-empty feature that will automatically empty the container after a few days. You'll still have to check the water levels in the dock manually, however, since there's not an automatic reminder.
